IT Network Manager


For over 60 years, Plyco has been a leading supplier in the Metal Frame Construction and Post Frame Construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire computer system including the phone system to support (3) sites: Elkhart Lake, WI - corporate office plus Trimline manufacturing; Plymouth, WI - Trucking company; Walkerton, IN - Modem Door, East Coast, Plyfoil manufacturing facilities.

He/she will handle all day-to-day IT activities to support normal business functions including: set-up new users, purchase necessary hardware, perform back-ups, resolve any computer issues from the user group, ensure a secure network environment, and plan for future growth of the IT network to provide business information performance at a high level.

IT Network Manager Responsibilities:

Helpdesk Support:

  • Printers/Scanners/Faxing
  • Device setup/troubleshooting
  • Application support and troubleshooting
  • New user setups
  • Onsite/phone/remote support availability
  • Cell and desk phone troubleshooting
  • Updating third party application on physical PC's
  • Other issues as they arise

Windows Server Administrator:

  • WSUS for updating all Windows PC's and servers
  • Manage active directory 2016 and user/computer GPO's
  • Updating servers from existing release to Server 2016/2019
  • File/print server management
  • DNS/DCHP server management
  • Support all application servers: Sage, ACT!CRM, CSI, Veeam, PRTG, SQL
  • Windows server backups using Veeam and EMC DataDomain repositories
  • Exchange server 2016 SMTP and Office 365 integration and synchronization
  • Create and manage user accounts, security groups. Exchange groups, access permissions

VMware Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Manage 2x ESXi 6.5 hosts for Plyco and lx for PTX
  • Manage 1x Dell EMC VNX33150 SAN
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and perform standard maintenance
  • Research, plan, spec, purchase and implement new hardware rotations
  • Continuing education to maintain up to date knowledge on best practices, current and future tools, utilities, features, and licensing.

VDI Engineer:

  • Manage Horizon view
  • Build/Update Gold Images for non-persistent desktop pools
  • Research best practices for desktop deployments using existing and upcoming technologies with VMware Horizon View
  • Plan/text/schedule/implement necessary updates
  • Zero Client Management
  • BYOD

Network Engineer:

  • Manage network devices for each site

o ModemDoor


  • Keep all device software versions and firmware up to date
  • Manage 13x physical networks and 3x virtual networks
  • Configure, manage, and secure VPN access
  • Build and manage redundancy
  • Consult with Third Party Vendors and consultants to assist in migrations and cutovers during afterhours for minimal disruption to end users
  • Document all existing and new networks, configurations, and WAN/LAN hierarchies

IT Manager:

  • License of Hardware/Software Support Management
  • End user training
  • Document management
  • Contract management
  • Work with outside vendors and consultants on planning and implementing new projects
